Carved into the remote Canadian Wilderness, the pointed peaks of BC's Coastal Mountain Range topple steeply to the water's edge in Homfray Channel. Countless idyllic islands and inlets provide for a one-of-kind kayak adventure. This kayak tour will start in sheltered Okeover Inlet and the rugged terrain has stopped any road access into Desolation Sound and beyond. We’ll kayak deep into the heart of Desolation Sound and camp within the marine park boundaries for 2 nights before we’re heading deeper into Homfray Channel for a 2-night stay at Homfray Lodge, enjoying BC’s remote Coastal Wilderness in the comfort of this unique lodge. We’ll spend one more day exploring Homfray Channel and soak up the beautiful Sea-to-Sky scenery this area has to offer. After our last breakfast at the lodge and a scenic boat ride, we’ll end this unique kayak-tour in Lund Harbour.
Kayaks are one of the best way to visit this majestic area, only kayaks can access all shallow nooks and crannies. We’ll settle down in the heart of Desolation Sound on the first day of this tour, the Curme Islands or Bold Head are both excellent campsites. During this tour, we’ll be able to visit all well-known highlights in Desolation Sound such as Tenados Bay and Prideaux Haven. A fantastic new scenery around every corner, rocky islands where seals often haul out, steep cliffs where sea birds nest and thousands of colourful sea stars. Homfray Channel will offer us one of the best scenery in Coastal BC. A two-night stay in this unique and remote wilderness lodge will trigger all your senses. Stunning views, comfortable cabins and gourmet-meals will add to this one-of-a-kind experience and you’ll leave with only the best memories!
