Rocky Mountaineer Rail Tour First Passage to the West
with Cruise to Desolation Sound

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to the coastal city of Vancouver. Travel through the legendary Spiral Tunnels and pass by Craigellachie, the spot where the last spike on the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. This is the only passenger rail service on this historic route, celebrated for connecting Canada from East to West. Traverse the Continental Divide and be inspired by spectacular mountains and dramatic canyons.

From Vancouver, you will fly to Lund, BC, the end of the Sunshine Coast and gateway to Desolation Sound. From here, you will embark on a journey of discovery, cruising on a naturalist-led small ship as you explore the waters of Desolation Sound. Spend three nights at the exclusive Homfray Lodge, a remote cedar timber lodge sitting in the rainforest. This tour includes a train journey through the Canadian Rockies and an exclusive cruise into the beauty of Coastal British Columbia.

If you're a history buff or nature lover, this route is for you.
